The self-limiting heating cable is used for frost protection or process temperature maintenance to metallic and nonmetallic piping, tanks & equipment.

The cables derives its Thermotraceself-regulating Tracer characteristic from the inherent properties of the semi conductive core material.

With increase and decrease in cable core material temperature, conductive paths decrease and increase and result in heat output decreasing or increasing.

This occurs at every point along the cable’s length, adjusting the power output to the varying conditions.

As the cable self-regulates its heat output, it limits the maximum sheath temperature, thus making it burn-out proof
