The TM-3356 should be installed where snow and ice need to be melted. The sensor should follow the surface and must not be covered – it can, however, be a few millimeters below the surface so that meltwater can flow there. It should be installed in an open area away from walls, etc., on a hard surface such as concrete or asphalt.
The sensor first measures the temperature, and with the help of the built-in heating element, any snow on the sensor is melted and the humidity is registered.
As accessories for installation, a brass mounting tube and a cover for the mounting tube are purchased to cover the hole during installation.
Empty pipes are laid to the mounting tube, for example, when installing in asphalt or concrete, and subsequently, the sensor and its cable can be installed through the empty pipes and mounting tube.
